Program Description:

The MSc in Social Work is delivered within the School of Education and Social Work. This reflects the multi-disciplinary context in which social work operates as a profession.

The aims of the course are to equip you to:

• Work in partnership with individuals, families, groups, organisations and communities

• Carers and Users Group

The social work course works closely and innovatively with their Carers and Users groups. This provides you with crucial perspectives and experiences of service users and carers in the delivery and development of the course.

The staff team contains leading researchers in a broad range of areas including Disability, Criminal Justice Social Work, Child Protection and Relationship-based practice. This expertise underpins the course content and the emphasis on the importance of research informed practice.
