Program Description:

The goal of the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program is to provide students the interdisciplinary training in biological and medical sciences, physical sciences, and engineering necessary to solve complex biomedical problems. Faculty members from engineering, biomedical sciences, materials sciences, chemistry, physics, medicine, and dental medicine form an interdisciplinary graduate degree program that spans the University of Connecticut campuses at Storrs and at the Health Center (UCHC) in Farmington. Requirements:

You must submit to the Graduate School official transcripts covering all of your previous academic work (both undergraduate and graduate). It must meet one of the following criteria: A cumulative grade point average of 3.0 for your entire undergraduate record or; A grade point average of at least 3.0 for your last two undergraduate years or; Excellent work in your entire final undergraduate year (3.5 or better) or; Graduate work with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or better (9-12 credits).Applicants are required to submit to the Graduate School: official transcript; three letters of recommendation (preferably from members of the academic profession); a personal letter from the student describing their interest in biomedical engineering, indicate which of the six areas of concentration you wish to pursue, and any other information that might be helpful for evaluation purposes.
