Program Description:

The College of Business Administration offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and a Ph.D. in Business Administration. The MBA program allows students to apply advanced theoretical concepts and knowledge from all functional areas of business through an analytical, decision-making process that focuses on solving practical problems. Students in the MBA program also learn to efficiently access, retrieve, and analyze information through technology. The program promotes the use of networking, leadership, and interpersonal competencies to develop and sustain effective relationships with peers, and to create an appreciation for the value of a diverse workforce. The College of Business Administration offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with three options for study: a part-time Lockstep Evening MBA; a Professional MBA at regional campuses; and an Executive MBA at the Downtown Campus. The Lockstep Evening MBA program allows students to apply advanced theoretical concepts and knowledge from all functional areas of business through an analytical, decision-making process that focuses on solving practical problems. Students in this program also learn to efficiently access, retrieve, and analyze information through technology. The program promotes the use of networking, leadership, and interpersonal competencies to develop and sustain effective relationships with peers, and to create an appreciation for the value of a diverse workforce. The Professional MBA (PMBA) is the ideal solution for successful working professionals who wish to earn an MBA degree accredited by AASCB International without interrupting their full-time career. The PMBA combines the rigor and depth of a traditional MBA program with the convenient evening schedule, applicability, and cohort experience of a professional program. This program is a cohort, taught in 6 sessions over a 24-month period. The Executive MBA (EMBA) is the Center's flagship program, designed with middle-and-senior level executives in mind. This program (cohort, five sessions over 19 months) allows participants to continue their full-time careers while earning a fully accredited MBA degree that incorporates the interactions and backgrounds of the participants as an integral part of the learning experience. The objective of the Ph.D in Business Administration is to prepare students for academic careers in higher education and management careers within profit and nonprofit organizations. Success in the program is judged by the student’s understanding of the issues and methodologies essential to the advancement of knowledge. Tracks include Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing.

In order to enroll in graduate classes, students must have obtained a baccalaureate or higher degree, prior to the start of the term for which the student is admitted, from a regionally accredited institution or from a recognized foreign institution. International students are not eligible for nondegree/certificate status unless they hold an eligible visa. International applicants are encouraged to begin the application process early. Also, international applicants should ensure all supporting documents, including those required to issue an I-20, are received by the stated application deadline. Only official documentation is accepted and it is the student's responsibility to submit all documents by the application deadline.
