Choosing my exchange to be at the University of Canberra is easily one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. It has been such a exciting experience on so many levels. I not only got the regular exchange experience of exploring a new place,
finding my feet and getting to know new people, it was the way it all worked out. With the help of the Study Abroad office, I was able to meet the rest of the exchange students and made some incredible international friends, friends who have I plan to keep around for the rest of my life. Through the same office, I was able to attend trips to local beaches, camp sites, tour Sydney, even go to a baseball game! I couldn't have done any of those activities without the support and guidance of the staff and student ambassadors at the Study Abroad office. With all the fun and exploring aside, I also learned how to challenge myself academically. The classes are well outlined and the teaching style is different, so adapting was a little difficult. However, once I got into the swing of things it was so great, I had far more free time than I expected! Living on campus is also a plus because I'm so close to lecture, my friends and the social scene. Overall my time at the University of Canberra has been unforgettable and I would recommend it to everyone!

This exchange program is one of the best experiences I've ever had! If you ever get the chance to do it, DEFINITELY take that chance! You will not regret it. So many wonderful memories will be made here! The people are great, the UC Staff is very helpful
& they work hard to provide us with everything we need as exchange students. This program will let you explore and learn so much about yourself, about Australian culture & life, and it will definitely help you grow as a person. It's a once in a lifetime experience, and think of all the great stories you'll get to take back home with you as well :) One thing I've learned is, people complain about how Canberra is boring, however, if you know where to find the fun, you won't have enough time in your schedule for everything. I know this because that's what my experience was like. My schedule is super packed with schoolwork, fun & exciting events, trips, and PARTIES! So don't let anyone tell you that you can't have fun here! I'm from New York, one of the most exciting city's in the world, and I'm telling you right now, if Canberra is anything, it's not boring.
