Program Description:

Students will be considered for admission if they have an MD or equivalent. The M.H.Sc. program is designed to provide graduate education primarily for physicians. The emphasis is on the application of rigorous methodology to the study of health issues in populations, spanning assessment, and policy development and assurance. Course work is in a wide variety of topics: etiologic research; data base analysis; assessment of diagnostic tests; clinical trials; policy analysis; utilization studies; investigations of occupational and environmental health issues. The program’s goal is to enhance the students’ development of critical thinking and skills in research design and conduct.
