- This course is designed to develop students' awareness of contemporary theories, social policies and practices which relate to women and culture. The course aims to develop knowledge and understanding of women's issues through an interdisciplinary approach to feminist questions. Areas of study include feminist theories, the history of feminist thought, theories of gender and race, the family, the state and social policy, as well as women writers, women in history, female sexuality, and women's health and leisure.
