Program Description:

The programme focuses principally on the concept of popular knowledge in the contemporary world. By 'contemporary popular knowledges' we mean new understandings of the world which stem from imaginative, speculative and alternative renderings of the perceived complexities of contemporary life. These responses - conspiracy theory, the New Age, Rave and other music cultures, cyberculture, etc - involve issues of knowledge and identity, and the MA will investigate these in an exciting and innovative fashion.
