Requirements:
Students seeking admission to the M.A. and Ph.D. program in Sociology are required to submit an on-line application, three letters of recommendation from current or former faculty, a writing sample (term paper, research paper, report, etc.), and transcripts from all Colleges and Universities which you have attended. A grade-point average above 3.0 (based on a 4.0 system) and a combined verbal and quantitative GRE score above 300 are required for unconditional admission to the program. For recent incoming cohorts of graduate students, average GRE verbal scores have been 157 and average quantitative scores have been 156, with an average combined verbal and quantitative score of 313.
International Requirements:
Foreign applicants are also required to complete a financial support form as part of the application process.
