Program Overview

Program Description:
The Educational Administration (EDA) area offers a set of conceptually articulated programs that draw upon the social and behavioral sciences so as to stimulate new ways of thinking about administering and transforming education organizations. EDA's programs are built on the belief that theory is empty without practice, and practice is mindless without theory. From the very beginnings of study in this area the student will find opportunities for field applications: the field is observed for knowledge development; students work in teams to apply problem-solving methods to real world dilemmas; and there is opportunity for each individual to demonstrate the leadership qualities necessary for challenging our educational institutions.
