Program Overview

Program Description:

Our Spanish courses are designed for anyone over 18 who would like to learn about Spanish culture or improve their Spanish language, from beginners to heritage speakers. Spanish courses are given all year around (except the month of August) in seven different programs. The flexibility of our courses lets students choose any program or combine various programs from these periods.

On the first day students take a placement test in order to be placed in the appropriate class. On the very first day of their program all students have an orientation session about academics, university life and living in Madrid. Classes are held between 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. Classes last 90 minutes, including the 10-minute break. When the program finishes, students who pass all their courses will receive a Spanish Certificate for their level.

Our courses combine the teaching of language and culture because we are convinced that it is not possible to learn a language without understanding people’s way of thinking, behaving and living. The programs include cultural and recreational activities in Madrid as well as a great variety of appealing extracurricular activities. The Centro de Estudios Hispánicos offers an international atmosphere within a Spanish university. It is located in the Dehesa de la Villa Campus, in the city of Madrid. All students have access to free WIFI, computer labs, library, cafeteria, etc., and can also request housing and other services.

Setting Description:
Our excellent team of teachers is highly qualified and has ample experience. The limited number of students per class makes for an interactive, communicative and personalized methodology.
