Program Description:
Universidad Europea de Canarias (UEC) is located in La Orotava, Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Courses offered are: Spanish Language and Culture European Economic and Social Context (taught in Spanish or English) Leadership and Management Skills (taught in Spanish or English) Sustainable Landscapes* Entrepreneurship* Acupuncture* Space Technologies* 360-Degree Olympics* Animated Film* Communication Skills* Social Network Management* *(taught in Spanish only) Additional summer courses are also offered at our other Universidad Europea campuses in Madrid and Valencia.

Costs include 1 ECTS credit per week of study (20 hours), housing and most meals in a 4-star hotel in downtown Puerto de la Cruz, airport transportation, student services and transportation to and from the university campus each day. The Spanish Language & Culture course also includes excursions to Mt. Teide, Santa Cruz and La Laguna. Other optional daily activities and excursions will also be made available.
Setting Description:
The largest of the seven Canary Islands, Tenerife sits in the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast of North Africa and is the destination of choice for millions of tourists every year. In Tenerife one can enjoy an incredible variety of extraordinary natural landscapes, from the top of Mt. Teide, the highest point in Spain, to the sandy beaches, spectacular cliffs and forests populated with prehistoric species. The unique island boasts two World Heritage Sites, one National Park and 42 protected natural areas. In addition, Tenerife offers innumerable sport, leisure and cultural activities, including the second largest Carnaval in the world. The town of La Orotava, home to the Universidad Europea Canarias, is one of the municipalities on Tenerife Island with the most history and tradition, offering a wide range of monuments, impressive views and gardens, festivals and popular holiday traditions.
