- Program Description:
- One of the longest running programs of the Stone Center, the program in Costa Rica is always an incredible way to spend some weeks in Central America. And starting with summer of 2012 you can receive 10 credits while traveling all over this amazing country. What about combining a Service-Learning class on Social Justice and Civic Engagement with a course on Climate Change, Biodiversity and Tropical Ecology? And what about adding into the mix a Spanish class, or maybe even do an internship in a Costa Rican organization working on issues of Social Justice?

- Setting Description:
- San José, Costa Rica. The program is centered in the prestigious Centro de Investigación y Adiestramiento Politíco Administrativo (CIAPA), a private environmental and public policy thinktank within minutes of downtown San José.
- Cost:
- Cost of the program is $5650 and includes corresponding credits at Tulane, room and meals at CIAPA, medical insurance, specialized tours and outings designed for participants in the program. Airfare and incidental costs are not included in the program cost.Participants should expect to pay approximately $500-$800 for airfare (airfare rates subject to change). Students participating in the program should expect to bring additional money to cover entertainment and other incidental costs.
