Program Overview

Program Description:

Volunteers are needed to help the wonderful staff at this special daycare & nutritional center by caring for the children, playing with them, teaching them English and hygiene, serving meals, etc. The center is part of a government program designed to help address the problem with malnutrition and to teach the children important life skills such as healthy eating and how to brush their teeth, as well as plenty of interactive play.

Volunteer with children in the beautiful town of Hojancha in Costa Rica's Guanacaste Province. Help at the local daycare & nutritional center while getting time to see the sites of Costa Rica and enjoy a number of tours and adventure activities.

Choosing the Daycare program also affords the opportunity to work in the afternoons in the same town with our Art & Music program.

Setting Description:

Hojancha is a traditional town in Guanacaste Province, which is famous for it's national parks and beaches. Volunteers can immerse themselves in the Costa Rican culture while getting time to experience all the rich things Costa Rica has to offer.
