Program Description:
This programme is intended for individuals from a wide range of disciplines and professions who wish to develop an understanding of health issues that integrate health and social science perspectives in a global context. The overall aim of the course is to equip students with the analytical and methodological skills to address the multifaceted challenges of global health whether they be in high income or low income countries. Specifically, the programme objectives are to: -Increase participants’ understanding of the interconnectedness of global health issues in both high and low income countries and across various regions of the world -Critically appraise current global health strategies and propose viable alternatives to increase access to health care among those with least access -Equip graduates with the skills to critically appraise and develop a range of analytical and methodological tools that are useful in resolving the challenges of global health -Increase the skills that are available to graduates to enable them progress in their careers in the global health arena
