Program Description:

The trainers will talk about how they got their start and the lessons they've learned working in print, broadcast,and Internet journalism. During the course, you'll tackle a reporting assignment in Prague.

Practical training and advice from experienced journalists who have reported for internationally-respected media such as The Economist, the BBC and The Washington Post. The course also includes a practical story-writing exercise.

Participants hail from several countries and offer an international mix of views on the media and foreign affairs, providing you the chance to form lifelong friendships and make professional contacts with people who are heading toward careers as journalists in the world's most newsworthy places

Setting Description:

The course will take place in Prague. We plan a wide range of cultural and social events, including a daytrip to the medieval castle of Karlstejn and a boat cruise on Prague's winding Vltava River.
