The Master of Arts degree in General Psychology provides a comprehensive background in contemporary Psychology to support further advanced study in the theoretical, research and applied areas of Psychology. Students both undergraduate and graduate, who recognize the need to expand their knowledge in psychology whether because of their professional or personal goals, are appropriate candidates for admission. For those students requiring a general credential to advance their vocational status the coursework offered in the MA program is designed to provide a broad academic experience, thereby equipping students with knowledge that may enhance employment outcomes, workplace performance and professional satisfaction. The course work offered within M.A. degree in General Psychology is designed to provide students with a review of core theory and contemporary issues integrated with topics promoting a professional sense of ethical, legal and human values. Classroom and research experiences are designed to provide students with a foundation of theoretical and applied knowledge and experience complemented by contemporary and professionally minded elective offerings as they move forward in their academic career.
