- Experience the real Italy while studying abroad in Perugia for a semester, the academic year, or a summer. Get United States university credits for a wide variety of exciting courses that will change each participant's perspective on life and give him or her hands-on experience. Often called the big university town in a small Italian city, Perugia is home to the Umbra Institute, an American study abroad program offering semester, year-long, and summer programs. Students can choose from a variety of courses with integrated field trips to world-famous Italian cities and sites, community engagement opportunities, and extra-curricular activities, such as wine tasting and language exchanges.

Direct Enrollment at the Università per Stranieri (16 credits): for students of all levels of Italian to focus exclusively on Italian language and culture. Direct Enrollment at the Università degli Studi di Perugia (usually 14-18 credits): courses (in Italian) in a variety of subjects including the Humanities, Politics, Science, and Engineering departments. Honors Program and Independent Research options.
