- How would you like to earn six college credits in one of the world’s most beautiful and culturally rich island cities, learning about America’s role in the Pacific Theater of World War II?at the very place where we were plunged into this global struggle? At Pacific Academy in Honolulu, up to 100 college students from across America will spend one month learning about the attack at Pearl Harbor and other subjects related to World War II and Hawaiian and Asia-Pacific history, while taking advantage of Oahu’s famous beaches and tropical setting. Courses feature top faculty—including featured professor Allan R. Millett, PhD—who share expertise and passion for the study of World War II and the history of Hawaii.

Courses are taught by faculty at Hawai'i Pacific University and are focused on military history, geography, and Hawaiian history and culture. Classes include a mix of seminars, guest speakers, field trips, and site-based activities. Locations visited include Pearl Harbor, the USS Arizona Memorial , Ford Island, Iolani Palace, the USS Missouri, and the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific

- THE WATERFRONT LOFTS AT ALOHA TOWER A beloved Hawaiian landmark located in downtown Honolulu, Aloha Tower offers easy access to many amenities, activities, and public transportation. Recently renovated to bring modern, functional luxury to the 1926 art-deco building, Aloha Tower is the hub of Pacific Academy, with student residences and program classrooms in the courtyard buildings around the famous high-rise tower and close to all the excitement of Hawaii’s largest city. The surrounding Aloha Tower Marketplace offers bountiful shopping and dining options and an urgent-care clinic, among other amenities. And nearby Waikiki Beach, known for its white sands and excellent surfing, is the ideal destination for swimming, surfing, sailing, or just relaxing by the waterside as the waves roll in.
