Program Description:

The course will teach you the most current methodology and techniques of English teaching, give you many hours of teaching practice, assist you in finding employment in Prague or worldwide and introduce you to a network of lifelong friends and contacts. For those wishing to pursue a long-term career in the ELT field, the course serves as an excellent foundation for a Master’s degree in TESOL/TEFL or applied linguistics, as well as careers in teacher training and school management. as the qualifications you need to enter into the world of English language teaching. A TEFL certificate (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) has become a necessary qualification for all teachers who wish to teach English as a foreign language. Whether you are a first-time teacher or an experienced teacher in other subjects, the TEFL certificate will provide you with the necessary skills to manage a productive classroom.

From student Courtney Ball: Information about lesson planning, teaching methodology, phonetics, and classroom management, presented in the most interesting/fun way possible. We then put these new techniques into practice during our teaching training. You teach 12 45-minute lessons and 2 1-hour private lessons to real Czech students. Job assistance during AND after the course was great. Since The Language House TEFL is externally monitored and accredited, the actual certificates will be from IATQuO.

The course offers at least twice practice teaching as any other course, which gives you full confidence to tackle any classroom. Prague is cheap! Most importantly, we offer more than just a 4-week course. With us, you become part of our community and we help you with everything. This can be finding an apartment, making new friends, networking in the city, and other things that can pop up when you move abroad.
