Programme:
The first week (in Brussels) reviews the main EU institutions and decision-making procedures, while theoretically exploring questions of governance, participation and legitimacy. During the second week (in Vienna) students learn more about EU foreign relations. New to our programme in 2018 is an empirical focus on one current policy issue. This year, Brexit is in the spotlight, as we invite experts to shed light on the consequences of the UK’s departure from the EU. Throughout the two weeks, the summer school participants will be tasked to study the implications of Brexit from a selected angle, to be presented to their peers at the end of the programme.
