Program Description:

The Ingenium Academy International Summer School for Music offers residential summer programmes for talented 14 - 18 year old musicians from all over the world. We offer our students a unique musical and cultural experience with exclusive tuition from world renowned musicians, performances in top British venues and the opportunity to meet like-minded friends from all over the world within our environment of creative excellence.

Students can choose from our exceptional musical programmes: orchestral, vocal, piano, saxophone, conducting, chamber music and composition.

The heart of the Ingenium Academy lies within our distinguished faculty, which is comprised of the UK's finest teachers and musicians. Our team includes names from the Royal Academy of Music, the National Youth Choir of Great Britain and multi-grammy award winning a cappella group The Swingle Singers. During the four week summer programme, students rehearse and perform a diverse and challenging array of repertoire and discover new genres of music through our broad range of workshops and activities. In addition to the enriching musical curriculum, students also uncover historical Britain in the glorious city of Winchester and enjoy day trips to nearby London. We immerse our students in a cultural adventure where they will meet and form friendships with other talented young musicians from all over the world.

Our students are given the opportunity to learn from and work with many diverse and inspiring professionals both on an individual and group level. These musicians are of the highest calibre and are carefully selected not only for their extremely high standards of musicianship and expertise, but also for their energy and enthusiasm for working with young musicians and their talent for teaching. All of our teachers have extensive experience and are committed to nurturing the talent of our students. Setting Description:

The Ingenium Academy is based at Winchester College, situated in the stunning city of Winchester just an hour away from London. Winchester College was founded in 1382 to this day is recognised as one of Britain's leading independent schools. Winchester is England's ancient capital and a treasure trove of English heritage, tradition and culture. The town itself is small yet packed with historic buildings, monuments, a magnificent cathedral plus plenty of shops and cafes providing a safe and stimulating environment for Ingenium students. Our students are given the chance to explore historical England during their time at The Ingenium Academy, with time to uncover the history of Winchester at the Castle and King Arthur's Round Table, day trips to London and a West End Show.
