- Program Description:
Drawing in more than 55 million tourists annually, Kyoto may be famous for its thousands of Buddhist temples, picturesque gardens, traditional wooden houses, geishas and tempting cuisine, but it is also an important hub for Japan’s leading hi-tech companies. The former Imperial capital is one of the country’s main academic centers and has long established business ties with the rest of the world making it an excellent city to intern abroad in – particularly for business, IT, marketing and hospitality. Strengthen your work experience with a full-time internship while exploring the historic region, which is home to 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and appreciating the comfortable climate.
Additional Program Information
- All applicants are expected to have an appropriate academic background related to the internship placement duties. The amount of required coursework will vary for each placement and your school. Students who have completed at least one year of university work and have grade point averages above 2.5 will be eligible for most internships. Other students are encouraged to apply as many other non-academic factors are taken into consideration. There is no visa requirement for this program.
