Program Overview

Program Description:

Equipping practitioners to address the social and emotional needs of students, the Psy.D. School Psychology curriculum with additional coursework, internship, and dissertation requirements—this 100-credit, Psy.D. School Psychology program prepares graduates for clinical practice with a doctorate degree in psychology.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook, “Employment of psychologists is projected to grow 12 percent from 2012 to 2022, about as fast as the average for all occupations. Job prospects should be best for those who have a doctoral degree in an applied specialty and those with a specialist or doctoral degree in school psychology.”
