- Post-master's licensed counselors in the Chicago School’s Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision program have the distinct privilege of being guided by distinguished faculty who are leaders in the field of counseling. These experts aid students as they conduct qualitative and quantitative research to build a strong foundation in the research, practical, and theoretical areas of counseling.Graduates of the Chicago School’s Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision have practicum and internship opportunities, including:Apprentice educatorsAdvanced supervisorsProgram evaluatorsResearchersThey will also be prepared to become educators, supervisors, and senior administrators. Other optional roles in the educational and community settings include:Teach as core faculty or as adjunct faculty in counseling programsSupervising beginning counselorsConducting applied research within a range of counseling settings and populationsDeveloping graduate level teaching content
