Program Description:
Welcome to Tennessee Tech University. One of our goals here at TTU is to improve institutional performance on behalf of internationalization and intercultural relations and to ensure that all Tennessee Tech University undergraduates and graduates gain the knowledge, perspectives and skills necessary to succeed in today's complex, pluralistic world. The Office of International Education provides admissions services for all international and permanent resident undergraduates. We also provide international students and visiting scholars with immigration services. In addition, International Education coordinates study abroad programs for all TTU students. An international student is classified for educational purposes as a person who is a citizen or permanent resident of a country other than the United States. Tennessee Tech is authorized under federal law to enroll nonimmigrant students.

Tennessee Tech University has programs in Business, all disciplines of Engineering, Web Design, Fast Track Civil English, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, Education, Nursing, Pre-Med, MIS, Marketing, HR, Agribusiness, and the English language. TTU offers and Intensive ESL program in which students who finish level 7 (with the sufficient GPA of 2.5) of the program can enter TTU's Undergraduate programs without a TOEFL or IELTS score. TTU's graduate programs permit students with level 8 to enter TTU's graduate school without the TOEFL or IELTS score (GRE and GMAT will be required-no waivers permitted+ students must provide the required GPA). Scholarship deadline for TTU is December 15th, 2011 for the Fall of 2012 and Spring 2013 terms. The Office of International Education supervises all documents for all undergraduate students, assist graduate students with COOPs, OPT and assist with on-campus employment. housing, medical insurance and billing as well.

Looking to increase our international student body, scholarships available for athletes who meet our requirements. Please be advised we request a TOEFL score of 500 undergraduate or 550 for graduate students. We also accept TOEIC (score of 620) and IELTS (score of 5.5) for admissions purposes.
Setting Description:
Located in the beautiful city of Cookeville, between Knoxville, TN and Nashville, TN. The Cookeville area has the 4th LOWEST cost of living in the United States. Host family and study abroad opportunities available as well.
