Program Overview

Program Description:

This five-week program is designed for students with at least two semesters of university-level Spanish.

It is based at the University of Oviedo and is comprised of coursework in Spanish language, literature and cultural studies. Courses are taught by native Spanish professors and Temple University faculty.
 

Setting Description:

Oviedo, with a population of 220,000, is the capital of Asturias and a gateway for great scenery, hiking and beaches. While the city has an impressive old-town center, museums and significant historic architectural sites, it is also a modern city featuring concerts, opera, theater and exhibitions. Students will spend the first several days in and around Madrid before traveling to Oviedo to begin classes.
