SWHO is organizing volunteer services in Honduras (Tegucigalpa and Roatan). The area of application can be chosen by the participant itselfs. Could be children home, school, kindergarten, or a creative project such as art & painting, etc. Duration and begin of your stay is flexibel.

SWHO mission: SWHO encourages inter cultural understanding and cooperation through the exchange of people and ideas. We promote wider life experiences, personal development and greater intercultural awareness through the provision of supported voluntary placements in a range of social and educational projects, that directly benefit local communities in Honduras. The Participation Fee includes Organization and coordination of your stay in Honduras - Stay in the host family or single room with full board - Commitment volunteer service in desired domain - Spanish course - Transport from the airport in Honduras to your host family - Transport from your family or single room up to the workplace (in Honduras) - Information on place (in Honduras) - Program - frame in Honduras - Care on site - 24-hours emergency service - Organisation of your Visa if longer than 3 months (cost not included) Additonally making friends worldwide, intercultural learning, various manual and social skills,learning Spanish and a lot of fun.
Setting Description:
While living with Honduran host family you will get to know the Honduran culture, the way of living. Honduran food . Honduran cuisine is varied as each region has its own unique culinary dishes (from seafood to fried platanos, frijoles, and tortillas, and a wide variety of colorful tropical fruits). Additionally you can learn and improve your Spanish skills.
