- Program Description:
- The College of Agriculture, seeks to educate students who are able to significantly contribute to the economic and social well-being of the Sultanate of Oman. The graduate programs contribute to these goals through the development of new knowledge and through the transfer technical knowledge to the public and private sectors. These sectors also benefit through having access to a pool of highly trained specialists. The College began offering graduate programs to students in the Spring of 1997. Agricultural Experiment Station (AES) is a modern facilities for teaching and research in agriculture. We provide supports for the teaching, research, and extension activities of the College of Agriculture as well as for other colleges at Sultan Qaboos University. The AES lies on the north side of Sultan Qaboos University. With a developed area of 15 hectares, the station provides numerous facilities for teaching modern agriculture. The AES has gone through a number of development phases and name changes over the past 20 years i.e. from College Teaching Farm, College Farm and finally Agricultural Experiment Station.
