Program Description:

FAST offer professional certificate programs for motivated students seeking to develop new skills and knowledge while building a body of work and professional experience in an international learning environment. Certificate Programs may be taken for one semester and one or two years. Each year consists of two “semesters” that offer a set of “core classes” and intensive weekend seminars. All programs devote a portion of each term to the development of a professional portfolio. Students opting for the two-year program have the opportunity to complete an internship and/or serve as a teaching assistant for introductory level courses.

One and Two Year Professional Certificate Programs Provides students with the professional training necessary for working with fashion accessory products. Students will develop a multifaceted skill set, practical experience as well as familiarity with materials and processes. Certificate in Fashion DEsign and Technology Enables the student to advance their design, technical and creative skills. A solid base, founded on the principles of fashion design and creation, is covered in the first year. The second year builds on these skills and participants will focus on portfolio and résumé building. Certificate in Publishing with Fashion Communication Concentration The year long program begins with the fundamentals and proceeds with the advanced skills necessary to design, edit, produce, publish and market published media. Particular focus and book forms of publish media and the unique structuring of the program allows students to partake in ongoing publishing projects. Note: All programs can be attended on a semester basis

Program cost includes the following items: enrollment (including application, course selection and credit transfer), housing, student health insurance and meal plans. Students attending FAST can receive US credits from Fairfield University in Connecticut, or an Italian transcript directly from FAST.
