Program Overview

Program Description:
Offering 3-6 month semester based program for interior design students wanting to study/work abroad in Florence at a professional studio of architecture, urban, and interior design. Students are enrolled in an intensive program developed to facilitate and explore the perception of design inside the work.

Academic training is combined with independent projects and guided discussions to critique and develop a cohesive body of work. Lectures and projects are supported with on site visits and field trips to further explore and broaden the students understanding of both design history and contemporary practices.

Setting Description:
Classes take place at a professional studio of architecture. Guided lectures are presented daily followed by discussions and project exercises. Students are given the opportunity to work alongside architects and designers to gain an understanding of the workings of the studio environment and take part in collaborative projects. on site visits and field trips are organized both within Florence, as well as Rome, Venice, and other parts of Italy.
