Program Overview

Program Description:

Summer is the most flexible time in a student-athlete's schedule. Our summer internship program will provide a huge boost to your resume, offering both international experience and professional training while keeping up with your workouts!

Our South Africa internship focuses on sport for development, where students will have the opportunity to partner with local nonprofits that use sport for development as a tool for social change. This internship will expose students to the obstacles that nonprofits in the area face. No matter your area of academic study, you surely have a skill set that could be used in a sport for development nonprofit organization.

Our internship also includes excursions like visiting Nelson Mandela's prison cell and seeing wildlife on an African safari!

Student-Athletes Abroad works to ensure you have the most well-rounded experience abroad, while returning to your campus ready for season.

*This program is not exclusive to student-athletes.
