Program Description:
Through St. John’s graduate degree programs in Medicinal Chemistry, students gain the experimental and theoretical knowledge to design and develop chemical molecules that contribute to the production of agents for combating health disorders. Students benefit from the outstanding reputation and resources of the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions at St. John’s, one of the nation’s leading collegiate schools of its kind. Professors conduct research in such dynamic areas as drug discovery, organic synthesis and natural product chemistry. The M.S. degree Industrial Pharmacy program features a thesis (30-credit) or non-thesis (36-credit) option. The Ph.D. program consists of a minimum of 60 credits beyond the bachelor’s degree (30 credits beyond the master’s degree) and completion of a dissertation.
