Program Description:

The St. Cloud State at Plymouth MBA program is targeted to meet the needs of people working full-time in the Twin Cities area. Students who select this program complete their degree by attending classes in Plymouth. In the St. Cloud State at Plymouth MBA program, cohort groups of 20-25 students take a series of 11 courses to complete the MBA degree. A majority of the courses are eight weeks long. Typically, a cohort meets one night each week for eight consecutive weeks to complete a three credit course. The St. Cloud State at Plymouth MBA program is located in Plymouth near the intersection of Highway 169 and Rockford Road. The courses are scheduled to allow for employment responsibilities, vacations and holidays. We believe our students will be most successful if they have balance in the scholarly, work, and personal aspects of their lives. SCSU's MBA delivers the management skills, technical understanding and global perspective that are needed to succeed in a rapidly changing business world. The program features: A curriculum that combines business theory with hands-on application. All classes are taught by terminally-degreed faculty (Ph.D. or JD degrees) or professionally qualified faculty members. An innovative schedule that permits part-time students to earn an AACSB International-accredited degree in as little as six semesters. Employers Statistics show that an MBA degree provides a significant advantage to an individual in terms of income earning potential. Objectives The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program offered by the Herberger Business School is designed to prepare the student for a professional career in business administration. Upon successful completion of the MBA degree program, students are expected to be able to: Write competently in multiple business settings. Make effective formal business presentation. Participate effectively in group discussions. Prepare written solution to business cases using multidisciplinary knowledge. Recognize ethical problems and present defensible ethical solutions. Apply global perspectives to business solutions. Describe leadership tools learned during the MBA program. Admission Information GMAT may be waived if the applicant holds, from an accredited institution, a first professional degree (example: M.D., J.D.) or a research doctorate degree (example: Ph.D., Ed.D.) as defined by the U.S. Department of Education from an accredited institution. A GRE may be considered in lieu of the GMAT if The applicant has been awarded a master's degree (as defined by the U.S. Department of Education) from an accredited institution. OR The applicant has been unconditionally accepted into a different master's degree at SCSU and is electing to change his/her graduate program. Admission decisions are made as each completed application is received. Admission is competitive. Selection is based on an evaluation of all criteria presented by an individual applicant. Above average performance on one criterion does not necessarily make up for below average performance on another criterion. International students on the F-1 and J-1 visas are not eligible for part-time academic programs sponsored by St. Cloud State University due to Immigration regulations. This would include the part-time MBA part-time program hosted in Plymouth, MN. International students can enroll in the full-time MBA program hosted in St. Cloud, MN.
