- Sol Winter Break in Oaxaca01/12/20
My two weeks spent in Mexico were amazing. It was amazing how much could be crammed in only two weeks! It was such an immersive program that allowed you to truly feel like a local. I learned and used more Spanish in just two weeks in Mexico than I have
in all the Spanish classes I have taken!

Originally, the SOL program caught my eye because of its affordability. The cost of the program is less than I pay on average for a semester of college in the US and almost seems to good to be true considering the amount of excursions and cultural activities
provided. I wasn't sure what to expect of a semester in Mexico, but it was an incredibly fulfilling and even life changing experience. The director of the program was amazing, as was my host family. I felt very supported even though I was in a totally new place with people I had just met! I would highly recommend this program to my friends and anyone who wants to have a great time abroad!

I love sol so much that this is my second time in Oaxaca with this program and definitely not the last. The activities are really fun, you get to see so much of the city and the state as a whole. Traveling with sol is a great idea and you’re able to
learn a lot from the experience as well.

The SOL Staff (Ena) is wonderful! I had very minimal knowledge of Spanish and it was very frustrating to say the least. Overall I had fun and got to meet new people. This is my first study abroad experience and I would possibly go again in the future.
My house mom was honestly the best part of my study abroad experience. She literally took me into her home and welcomed me with open arms. I will never forget this trip!

It was a great experience overall. My teacher was highly qualified and I can honestly say he is one of the best teachers I have ever had the pleasure of working with. As far as the host institution, the only concern I had is that there were days were
there was absolutely no water pressure to flush the toilets or wash our hands. This problem could have been solved temporarily by providing buckets of water to flush the toilets as well as provide hand sanitizer. Other than that, I would definitely come back.

- Sol Education Abroad- Oaxaca Winter01/23/18
I spent two weeks in Oaxaca this past winter and it was honestly the best two weeks of my life. Sol Education provides amazing resources and the staff really cares about the students. I took Advanced Spanish, and I am confident that my fluency level improved
drastically. Before coming to the program, my family was worried about sending me to Mexico, but I never once felt like I was not safe, and my host family experience worked out very well. I would recommend this program to anyone that is considering a Spanish study abroad experience.

- SOL Education Abroad Review 2017-101801/18/18
There is not one thing I can complain about the SOL experience, everything was absolutely worth it. Everything including school, excursions, and cultural activities. The SOL ambassadors are super friendly and will always be with a positive attitude when
you need anything. The program is very coordinated and everything stated under the program is provided. I definitely did not want to leave because I got very attached to my "SOL MATES." I am super thankful to SOL for the opportunity to enrich my knowledge on cultural diversity! I would extremely recommend students to give SOL an opportunity to show them different parts of the world. Thanks to the SOL program, I learned how to take care of myself in an unknown city, how to eat much healthier, and how to appreciate all transportation systems in different places. I recommend the program more than 100% and would re-do the experience again.

I spent 7 weeks in the city of Oaxaca,Mexico and looking back, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Oaxaca is a beautiful city full of vibrancy and culture and I could not imagine a better place to go and learn a second language. The classes
are better than any I have taken before, and in just 7 weeks I've gone from barely starting on an intermediate Spanish level to now well into advanced grammar and conversation. Look no further for the study abroad experience of a lifetime!
