I thought that the trip was a good experience, living with a host family makes you practice your Spanish more and being in the country for 3 weeks lets you experience a lot of things. The directors were very nice and genuinly wanted you to have a good
time. I would have liked the school to have more teaching rather than activities so I could have practiced and improved my Spanish more. I liked the excursions and activities

It was a really great experience and I got to improve my Spanish by talking with the locals and staying with my host family. Additionally, I also got to learn more about the Costa Rican culture and values and compare and contrast with my own values and
traditions.

- Costa Rica – Summer Spanish Immerison07/15/17
I spent an eye opening 5 weeks in Atenas, Costa Rica. I had breakfast, lunch, and dinner practically everyday with my host family. The good byes were teary; however, I know that I couldn't have gotten a better experience without them. I went to school
in the morning and had lunch after. I was able to spend my afternoons wandering the little town if we weren't volunteering or on an excursion – be it cultural or adventorous. Go for it. It was my summer before applying to college and it defintely gave me the push to apply to colleges outside the U.S.

This trip to Costa Rica has taught me a lot of things. I have learned how to make new friends and branch out and try things i don't particularly like. I have also learned how to be more independent and survive on my own by getting around speaking a foreign
language. Overall this trip and experience has been one of the best experiences and times of my life. I would highly recommend this to people to considering going to Cost Rica or any Sol Abroad location.

The program was really good. It was set up in way that allowed for students to experience many different things that they would most likely not get to experience. It is a really good way to be immersed in a class specific to learning how to communicate
with people. It was also fun to learn about the culture and see how things were what I expected or how they were different. Living with the host family also allowed for that to be possible because it was a 24/7 immersion. I would recommend the program to anyone that is looking for a way to learn more about a culture and about the language.

While this is my first study abroad experience, I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to improve their Spanish. While speaking a different language may seem daunting, if you are motivated to break out of your shell and just speak, it
will do more for your Spanish than any regular Spanish class ever will.

I had a great experience living in Atenas. I went in knowing only a little Spanish and left feeling confident in my abilities to understand and speak the language. My host family was extremely kind, and the Spanish teachers were nice and patient as well.
The weather was great the whole trip, and the food was always amazing.
