Program Overview

Program Description:

One-on-one training given by your host and teacher, individually designed for every student’s level and needs. As a student, you will participate fully in our teachers’ social and family life. While you are living with them, you will experience life in China, be introduced to cultural norms and history, and use Chinese in every facet of the day.  Our teachers will guide you through a tailored lesson program, reflecting your daily experiences. 
 
In our program, we constantly look for ways to help motivate you to keeping improving your language skills. We believe enjoyment of your everyday experience and interaction with Chinese will keep you moving forward.
 
1.  Methodology mix: You won’t have any room for boredom or “learning plateaus.”  Our program will include video and audio training, sound visualization, and other ways to let you understand how you sound and your progression. 
2.  Home-based learning: Your live-in teacher will conduct lectures and written exercises at home based upon your daily experiences and program timeline.
3.  Experience based learning: Specific vocabularies will be taught for each experience, such as those for a job while visiting corresponding buildings and observing functions.  
 
Setting Description

You will have your own private bedroom and washroom in a shared apartment or home; bright and modern furnishings conjure a pleasant atmosphere, so that you can feel immediately comfortable in our home from the very beginning.  WiFi connected guest room will have the following standards: single bed, wardrobe and shelf, desk and chair, towels, and hair dryer.

Cost

Package prices start at 8000 RMB per week including: 15, 20, 25 or 30 hour units of intensive one-on-one training per week and 3 hours/week of culture or sports activities.  All pricing is inclusive of airport transfer from Shanghai airport, accommodation, full board (all meals taken in your teacher’s home), and all study materials used during your stay.
