Program Overview

Program Description:

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act focuses on the prevention of illness and remediation of the impact of chronic diseases through a behavioral health framework. As a student in Seton Hall University's Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) program, you'll be a natural fit to help implement these new approaches as you prepare for advanced practice in the areas of behavioral health, substance abuse and health care.

Applicants without an accredited undergraduate degree in social work may be admitted to the 60-credit track, designed to be completed in two years - the first on campus, the second consisting of online course work and on-site field work in the community.

Applicants with an accredited undergraduate degree in social work are eligible for advanced standing. These students may fast-track right into the second year of the program to complete their 33-credit track.
