Program Overview

Program Description:
The design management program focuses on interdisciplinary collaboration and the integration of design thinking in all levels of strategy, planning and management. Coursework and real-world interdisciplinary projects enhance students’ knowledge and practice of theory, visualization, financial practices, marketing and collaborative culture. Driving innovation and communicating the role of design in business are key components in creating new enterprise, developing new products and stimulating the investor community. The curriculum prepares students to establish a vision and implement it at every level within an organization. The design management program is about creating conditions in which successful new ventures may be conceived, designed, produced and consumed. Cultivating the language and culture of design in business prepares students to be well informed in the role of design as a business creation partner.

The Savannah College of Art and Design is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Requirements:
SCAD encourages applications from students who demonstrate successful completion of appropriate coursework on the undergraduate level and adequate preparedness to undertake graduate-level study. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or should anticipate completion of a bachelor’s degree before enrollment in the graduate program.
