- NABA is an internationally recognized Art and Design school that emphasizes a truly multidisciplinary approach to instruction and learning. It enjoys a unique reputation as the only undergraduate school recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education to grant the award of Diploma di Accademia di Belle Arti; the highest official degree in Italian art education. NABA's programs adopt an "all encompassing approach" which combines traditional Italian craftsmanship with today's most advanced design technology. In addition, the school has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to the philosophy that creativity is best cultivated in an international atmosphere.
Students at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) in Milan don't just learn about design, they live it. NABA instructors are world-renowned artists, professionals, and designers who work in Milan, and their goal is to create the artists, professionals, and designers of the future. NABA's teaching method stresses cultural, theoretical, and practical aspects of design and seeks to put students in constant contact with companies and professionals. NABA offers summer programs in Milan, as well as a summer program combining study in London and Milan (two weeks in each destination). Students will earn between 6 and 9 US credits per term, depending upon the number of classes taken.
Program cost includes the following items: enrollment (including application, course selection and credit transfer), housing, student health insurance, transcripts, and cell phone service. SAI also provides comprehensive student services, beginning at the pre-departure stage and leading to SAI on-site orientation and advising in Italy. Students attending NABA may receive US credits from Fairfield University in Connecticut, or an Italian transcript directly from NABA.
