- NABA is an internationally recognized Art and Design school that emphasizes a truly multidisciplinary approach to instruction and learning. It enjoys a unique reputation as the only undergraduate school recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education to grant the award of Diploma di Accademia di Belle Arti; the highest official degree in Italian art education. NABA's programs adopt an "all encompassing approach" which combines traditional Italian craftsmanship with today's most advanced design technology. In addition, the school has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to the philosophy that creativity is best cultivated in an international atmosphere.

NABA's teaching method stresses cultural, theoretical, and practical aspects of design and seeks to put students in constant contact with companies and professionals. Subject Intensive Programs are offered in the following disciplines: Fashion Design, Fashion Styling & Communication, Graphic Design, Interdisciplinary Design, and Product Design. Students may also choose to enroll in a flexible Free Elective Program. Both Subject Intensive and Free Elective Programs yeild 15 semester credits per term.
Program cost includes the following items: enrollment (including application, course selection and credit transfer), housing, student health insurance, transcripts, and cell phone service. SAI also provides comprehensive student services, beginning at the pre-departure stage and leading to SAI on-site orientation and advising in Italy. Students attending NABA may receive US credits from Fairfield University in Connecticut, or an Italian transcript directly from NABA.
