Program Description:
Located in the heart of ancient Rome near the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, Italiaidea draws students from around the world, creating an international environment, while focusing on Italian language and culture. At Italiaidea SAI offers an immersion program that includes the choice of home-stay housing, an excellent way to encourage your studies in Italian language. Students may also choose to be housed in SAI shared student apartments, in the center of Rome.

SAI Programs is pleased to offer US students the opportunity to study at Italiaidea in Rome. Italiaidea has offered outstanding courses in Italian language and culture for over 15 years, becoming the foremost language institute in Rome. Today Italiaidea teaches around 1,500 students every year. SAI Summer students can choose between two program options at Italiaidea: - Italian Language Program, 3 credits: 15 hours per week of Italian language instruction for a total of 3 weeks. 45 contact hours in Intensive Group Courses. Classes are a maximum of 10 students divided according to the level. - Italian Language Program, 6 credits: 15 hours per week of Italian language instruction, for 6 weeks. 90 contact hours in Intensive Group Courses. Classes are a maximum of 10 students divided according to the level

Program cost includes the following items: enrollment (including application, course selection and credit transfer), housing, student health insurance, transcripts, and cell phone service. SAI also provides comprehensive student services, beginning at the pre-departure stage and leading to SAI on-site orientation and advising in Italy. Students attending ITALIAIDEA may receive US credits from Fairfield University in Connecticut, or directly from ITALIAIDEA.
