In this Summer School, students receive an introduction to engineering, controlling and programming of robots. The course conveys necessary theoretical knowledge in robotics, followed by lab courses where you can apply the gained knowledge in hands-on practical projects.
The program offers an overview of the application of intelligent, robust robots as part of future smart factories. The lecture comprises three segments covering the central topics of communication between heterogeneous systems, adaptive industrial robotics, and autonomous mobile robotics for in-factory logistics.

Additional Program Information
- You are a B.Sc./B.E. student enrolled at a renowned university, have profound knowledge of the English language and are studying mechanical engineering or a related field. Desirable is the completion of the first year as well as basic knowledge in the following areas: Lecture „Artificial Intelligence“ (or objective evidence of equivalent knowledge), programming skills (C++ and/or Java), interest in logic-based programming. Linux skills are beneficial. The minimum age to participate is 18 years. Students should have completed the first year of studies.
