Program Description:

The University of Auckland opened its doors in 1883 as Auckland University College with 95 students and 4 faculty members. It has since grown into New Zealand’s largest university and consistently makes the list of the world’s top universities.  With over 125 majors and a vibrant campus life the University of Auckland is sure to cover the interests of most students and possibly spark a few new interests along the way.  

"• Spend a weekend in a M¬aori community where you will receive a traditional M¬aori welcome, sing traditional songs, and learn flax weaving and wood carving. • Choose from a variety of excursions and outdoors activities provided for you by Auckand’s ISPACE. Activities include sailing, kayaking and snorkeling. • Take classes that are specific to New Zealand and Austronesian populations. Classes are available in Togan, M¬aori Studies and Cook Islands M¬aori"
