Program Overview

Program Description:
The M.A. in Organizational Leadership teaches key organizational leadership elements such as ethics, motivation, creativity, vision, strategic planning, teamwork, group development, technology, customer service and organizational development. In the School of Global Leadership & Entrepreneurship, we recognize the growing need for leadership specialization in the various industries for the future advancement of organizations. Therefore, we offer many different concentrations from which students can choose to focus their leadership development. The MOL provides students with a core curriculum of in-depth leadership and organizational development topics combined with focused concentration in one of several areas followed by a culminating project during which students conduct research or perform an organizational intervention that incorporates all the course content of the program. Courses are available 100% online. When it comes to higher education, today's busy professionals require not only high quality education, but also flexible course schedules to fit their lives. The Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership was designed to meet those requirements by using autonomous learning methods and communication technology. The program's online format allows flexibility and adaptability to accommodate almost any schedule and requires no on-campus residency. While residency is not required for the MOL program, the program offers students an opportunity to attend an optional two-day residency. While all students pursuing the MOL must complete 33 credit hours, it is the demonstration of independent scholarly ability at the master's level, rather than the mere accumulation of credits that is required to successfully complete the program. The program is structured as follows: (a) 21 credit hours of required core courses; (b) 9 credit hours of concentration electives; and (c) 3 credit hours of culminating experience.
