Program Overview
- Program Description:
- The academic courses (except Spanish language) and the educational experiences are conducted in English. Students in the program will enroll in the following courses: The History, Politics, and Society of Cuba (3 credits in hist, poli sci, or soc); Third World Underdevelopment and Politics (3 credits in soc or poli sci); U.S.-Cuban Relations: Historical Perspective (3 credits in hist); Spanish language (5 credits); and an independent study course (3 credits). Students in special programs in Spanish or Marine Biology can substitute up to three courses.

It consists of four courses in English plus the study of Spanish, and it includes 135 hours of educational experiences and activities, including visits to relevant museums, research and educational centers, and civic and popular organizations in the city of Havana and other cities of Cuba. Special programs are available for students fluent in Spanish and in Marine Biology (in English).
Students will pay regular tuition and fees to Presbyterian College, utilizing normal structures of financial aid that are available to them. Expenses in Cuba (tuition to University of Havana, room and board, travel in Cuba) are included.

- The program is a cooperative program of Presbyterian College and the University of Havana. It is conducted in Havana, with four educational excursions to various provinces in all regions of the island.
