Program Description:

EMEA is a joint master's programme of Philipps-University Marburg and Lebanese American University (LAU) with focus on graduate-level economics and the economies of the MENA region. Students spent two semesters in Marburg and one semester at LAU and can extend their regional stay by further six months in the MENA region.

EMEA is a unique master’s programme designed for students who want to acquire expertise in economic analysis in combination with specific knowledge about the economies of the MENA region. EMEA combines an academic focus with hands-on regional experience: lectures are taking place at Philipps-University and at Lebanese American University and the master’s thesis can be written during a six months stay in the MENA region.

Setting Description:

EMEA consists of four semesters with overall 120 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits. Graduate-level economics and introductory MENA economics courses are followed by specialised courses in later semesters. Economics and interdisciplinary electives facilitate specialisation according to individual interests.

Cost:

Tuition fees of approx. USD 8,500 apply to the third semester at LAU. General fees of EUR 300 have to be paid each semester.
