On this summer abroad, you’ll gain insight into the lives of indigenous Andean and Amazon communities. Immerse yourself in Spanish and improve your conversational ability while participating in a community-driven service project. Along with this cultural exploration, enjoy the ecological wonders of Ecuador…hike, bike and raft through the Andes and canoe in the Amazon Basin. Follow in Darwin’s footsteps with a nature focused week in the Galapagos Islands where you’ll have amazing wildlife encounters.With two instructors and a small group of travelers, you’ll gain skills in leadership, cross cultural communication, and ethical tourism. Along with countless memories, students leave with a deepened sense of personal values, identity, and purpose.This summer abroad program is suitable for students 18-24 years. Semester programs are offered both fall and spring, and can be taken consecutively for an in-depth and transformative gap year.
