Program Description:

Students choose two or three courses from an exciting range of options - including the fields of literature, history, maths and science - taught by a team of highly qualified tutors. Small group seminars and individual tuition ensure close attention is paid to the individual needs of each student.

The program is aimed at high school graduates who want to spend one, two or three terms abroad, expanding their horizons at the same time as preparing for college level work. Besides academic courses, the program offers internships, accommodation in central Oxford, and extensive extra-mural activities, including sport and regular visits to places of historic interest.

Oxford Union membership is included as part of the program. This prestigious club has been a centre for discussion and debate since 1823, playing host to leading figures from the worlds of international politics and the arts.

Setting Description:

Courses are run under the auspices of Oxford Tutorial College, an independent college specializing in preparing candidates for university entry. The college is situated at the heart of the university precinct, close to the very center of the ancient city of Oxford, which is approximately one hour from London.
