Program Overview

Program Description:

Our Australian West Coast Wildlife project is located close to Perth on Australia’s beautiful west coast. Based at a shelter for wildlife, volunteers will have the opportunity to provide care to some of Australia’s unique native animals. The shelter provides rescue services, medical treatment and rehabilitation for sick, injured and orphaned animals, particularly kangaroos and joeys. The goal is to care for the animals until they are well enough and/or old enough to be returned to the wild.

As a volunteer with this project you will help to feed and water the animals each day and keep their enclosures clean. You will likely have the opportunity to be involved in rescuing wild animals in need and will assist with their care and rehabilitation. You may also help to educate others and raise funds for the shelter through various fundraising activities. As this shelter operates entirely by the efforts of volunteers, your contribution will be greatly appreciated.

Setting Description:
Perth is the capital city of Western Australia and Australia’s sunniest city! The wildlife shelter is located approximately 25 kilometres south east of the city. There are plants and animals here that are found nowhere else on earth.
Cost:
From $813 USD.
