Wireless telecommunication has experienced remarkable growth since the introduction of cellular telephones. With licensing of the FCC of spectrum for Personal Communication Services (PCS) and other services such as wireless LAN, wireless local loop, wireless PDA, and the emerging wireless Internet, the growth rate is expected to increase even further. This graduate certificate provides those with an EE background the specific knowledge they need to work in this expanding market. Those who choose to work toward the master degree are able, upon admission, to apply all courses taken toward a certificate toward fulfillment of a degree program.
